Maybe your laundry expert or maybe your
clothes magical went from being dirty on the floor to clean and folded in your
dresser drawers. Whatever your laundry skills are here’s
what you need to know about doing laundry in the residence halls. You pay
for laundry using CyCash. CyCash can be loaded on your ISU card by using
AccessPlus it’s a dollar to wash and a dollar to dry a load so count on two
dollars per load. You want to have a laundry bag or basket to take your laundry
from your room down to the laundry room in your building. You’ll need detergent and make sure its
high efficiency has all the machines that is you are high-efficiency. Sort
your clothes people usually sort into lights, darks,
and bright colors. Now that I’ve got my clothes separate
I put them in the washer close the door grab my student ID over the machine put
a machine number 14. Now that I’m back in my machine I’m not
quite done yet I have to get my clothes clean. So open up the soap tray, get my
detergent, load it on up, its ready to go. I’ll tap my settings cold water, normal,
medium level and it start. Wait about 40 minutes for the wash
cycle to complete. From there put your clothes in the dryer
and it may take up to an hour to dry. We know you don’t have time to hang out
in the laundry room so that’s why we created Laundry Alert. It tells you
what machines are available and will let you know when your laundry is done
so you can keep moving. From there fold it up and put it away.
