  1. Instead of pursuing "civil rights", why not pursue what the Bill of Rights already grants through Creator Endowed Rights?

In socialism, there are two classes… the rulers and the ruled. No chance to elevate oneself to a status from hard work and discipline. No chance in taking responsibility of one's own life and path. I agree with MLK jr. when he was talking about Creator Endowed Rights, because the mindset in parts of the country was not coinciding with the founding principles of the country. At the same time, MLK jr. was asking for "civil rights". Civil rights are way different than Creator Endowed Rights guaranteed by The Bill of Rights. The Constitution is the government, because it is a binding contract of mutual benefit and protection for the states that abide by this contract. What needed to change was the mindset, not US laws. States had Jim Crow laws, not The united States of America or the federal goverment aka US gov. All he did was extend the reach of the federal gov, take away sovereignty of states, and empower the federal government even more! What must change is the hearts and minds, or we will enslave ourselves.

  2. really sad he was a Socialist and spoke so much against the war in Vietnam. Really confuses me what he was all about now.

  3. Yes, he was and who would blame him considering the era in which he came.

Does this justify his execution by our government?

  4. Nice edit on his speaches the only problem is nothing really socialist was said in any of them. But keep up your lie I am sure enough people will take your video at face value and never once look up all the speaches you took lines from.

  5. Jesus said to give to the poor, VOLUNTARY! Not give to the romans and have them distribute the wealth. Nothing MLK has said directly affirms socialism.

  6. FDR, one of history's most revered presidents, was a socialist too. Had he not been, this country would have folded under the Great Depression.

  7. If socialism means championing the plight of poor people and end their oppressive poverty, then kudos to him for being a socialist.

  8. MLK made the same mistake the NAACP made and continues to make, equate racial injustice with economic injustice, its a self defeating presupposition.

he was right in his critique, but fundamentally wrong in his end goals.

I imagine you already know that I am much more socialistic in my economic theory than capitalistic… [Capitalism] started out with a noble and high motive… but like most human systems it fell victim to the very thing it was revolting against. So today capitalism has out-lived its usefulness.
(Letter to Coretta Scott, July 18, 1952)

One day we must ask the question, “Why are there forty million poor people in America?” … When you ask that question, you begin to question the capitalistic economy.
(Final speech to the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, 1967)

Freedom for the individual from power within the individuals inalienable rights of human rights for all colors and creeds is what Martin Luther Kings principles where with GOD. NOT SOCIALISM GOD BLESS MARTIN

  15. Life, liberty and pursuit of happiness is not the same as Socialism. It is indeed the opposite. In Socialism where one's job is predefined and obligatory to the "betterment of society" restricts the personal freedom of the individual. Thus MLK was NOT a Socialist. This contradicts with his goal for equality. There is no, has none, will have no example to Socialism that can be pointed to as what MLK or any other was intending. It's amazing that democracy has been done several times over, each improving on the last since the days of the Ancient Greeks.

  16. You idiot. What do you think we've had in America since Reagan administration implementation of trickle down economics? That is redistribution of wealth from the bottom to the top. What do you think bailing out the "too big to fail" banks is? That is the definition of socialism. We've always had socialism for the richest Americans and corrupt capitalism for the rest. Capitalism is if a corp goes belly up then that's the nature free market enterprise. There's nothing wrong with having your own opinions about something. That's your right, but don't show your ignorance when you are not intellectually gifted enough and too blind to see how economics works in this country. This is a man that did more in five minutes of his life than you will ever do. Something tells me this isn't about economics and more so about bigotry. A socialist. Since you obviously don't even understand the history of America just say what you really think. He wasn't white. That's what you should have named your video.

  27. Your are crazy. The industrial revolution was largely built on slavery and serfdom. We all breathe the same air the last time I checked . So who is to have anymore rights than another. Put that in you pipe and take a puff of reality.

  28. It is not the Governments role to force equality. I personally am not a racist and I dislike racist very very much but i recognize that in a free society people are gonna have different values. I believe people are free to believe what ever they want. That goes for employers too. I do not think racial discrimination is a good thing but employers should be free to hire and fire who ever they want for whatever reason. perhaps it would be better to say that its not the governments place to force morality at gunpoint. There are many reasons including the backlash against the individuals who are grouped into various stereotypes, the people who have different views than the government and it (forced morality) proposes that individuals can not learn to think morally on their own or learn to change their views. Any questions? would anybody like me to elaborate further?

  30. Some work is still worth more then others. That is not something democratic socialism tries to stop.
They just want to make a good society for everyone to live in, not just for a 5%

  31. Your thinking of communism. Democratic Socialism isnt about earning the same amount. Its about giving the power to the workers.
    Creating equal rights for everyone.
Creating good hospitals for everyone that you dont have to pay for to get treated in.
Creating schools where your kids can go and get a good education without you having to pay for it.
Creating workers rights, so you cant get treated at your workplace as the employer seems fit, and fire you when he wants to.
