  1. I like how you did it. I made it even easier when I played. Instead of repairing the bridge with the first engineer, I used him to capture the allied barrack and then from there just build more engineers to get the war factory, power plants and oil derricks. Unfortunately you can't capture the air field, it would be even easier with air force. Good tutorial. Thanks man.

  2. Those full stack garrisons in the buildings are the worst. And the poor south americans paratroopers keep getting owned. But a good steady puch up the north western flank will usually destroy the resource capability and production of the allied forces, after that just a full on offensive. All in all a very exciting mission. Thanks for your personal intepretation of the mission O dog.

  3. The map is supposed to be New York though it couldn't get any farther from being New York unless this was a desert.

  4. I really like this mod, but the Soviets have everything the Allies have now. Meaning, the Allies no longer have any kind of technological advantage over the Soviets, unbalancing the war.

    Mental Omega 3.0 was released for the public in 30th of November 2013. It consists of 36 Single Player Campaign missions and some co-op missions which are played by two human players against CPU.

    1982. Hungering for revenge, the Soviets launch a full-scale invasion against the United States of America. The Allied primary defense network is shut down under mysterious circumstances and the only thing between the Soviets and America is a tiny little ocean. The third Great World War begins, where the strings are pulled by a single man – a remnant of Stalin's psychic legacy.

    "Greetings Comrade, the war we have waited for so long is finally happening! The World Revolution is upon us, and by the end, we will all be comrades and proletariats, united in worldwide brotherhood! We have taken a gamble and sent most of our forces to sea for America – they will strike from both East and West. Our Comrades in Latin America will come in from the south, as well as facilitate our grip when we land and take control. Your recent successes in Academy have landed you an honor and a test – you are to be among the commanders of the first strike on America, the landing on New York City. While the task at hand is not the highest one, it is of extreme importance. Your first task is to obliterate American morale, and to decapitate their hypocritical Statue of Liberty – we will eventually build a true monument there.

    With that done, due to the fact that the Statue is near the next objectives, it has fallen onto you to lay the groundwork for much of our offensive forces a ways behind, so that they can pass unimpeded into the City and fan out. American outposts guard the bridges into the city, and they need to be taken out. If the Americans blow the bridges, it is on you to repair them, and secure the other side. When our forces start streaming in, join the battle at hand and take out the American forces. This is admittedly a difficult task, but there is little doubt among the Politburo that you can do it. As a sign of this, you will have command of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Boris, when he lands in the city."

  6. This mod is brilliant. The only thing that let's it down is not being able to save progress during a mission; I know the developers are aware of that and are most likely working on a solution. Fair enough I know the missions can be played in any order (Like Aftermath or Counterstrike from RA1) but each mission in it's own right can be time consuming and without the ability to save it can be quite unforgiving as one mistake can ruin so much progress as people aren't necessarily gonna know what to do in the mission right away. I've certainly had a few "Aw shouldnta done that" moments in this mission alone; I.E sending men across a booby trapped bridge (Naturally wasn't gonna know it was till it happened though) near where those guys are at 4:20. 🙂
