Soviet cosmonaut anthem – 14 minutes to start (english subtitles)

Space maps downloaded into tablets, And navigator specifies the route for the last time. Let’s go, guys, let’s sing before the start – We still have fourteen minutes. I believe, my friends, caravans of rockets Will rush us forward from star to star. On the dusty paths of distant planets Our footprints will stay. On the dusty paths of distant planets Our footprints will stay. Years later, let’s remember, my friends, About how on the stellar roads we paved the first path, How we first managed to achieve cherished goal And to take a look at our native planet from afar. I believe, my friends, caravans of rockets Will rush us forward from star to star. On the dusty paths of distant planets Our footprints will stay. On the dusty paths of distant planets Our footprints will stay. For a long time they are waiting for us The distant planets, The cold planets, Silent fields. But no one planet isn’t waiting for us like this, Planet dear, called Earth. I believe, my friends, caravans of rockets Will rush us forward from star to star. On the dusty paths of distant planets Our footprints will stay. On the dusty paths of distant planets Our footprints will stay. I believe, my friends, caravans of rockets Will rush us forward from star to star. On the dusty paths of distant planets Our footprints will stay. On the dusty paths of distant planets Our footprints will stay…

  1. Zapravleny v planshety
    Kosmicheskiye karty,
    I shturman utochnyayet
    V posledniy raz marshrut.
    Davayte-ka, rebyata,
    Spoyomte pered startom –
    U nas yeshcho v zapase
    Chetyrnadtsat' minut.

    Pripev:
    YA veryu, druz'ya,
    Karavany raket
    Pomchat nas vperod
    Ot zvezdy do zvezdy.
    Na pyl'nykh tropinkakh
    Dalokikh planet
    Ostanutsya nashi sledy.
    Na pyl'nykh tropinkakh
    Dalokikh planet
    Ostanutsya nashi sledy.

    Kogda-nibud' s godami
    Pripomnim my s druz'yami,
    Kak po dorogam zvozdnym
    Veli my pervyy put',
    Kak pervymi sumeli
    Dostich' zavetnoy tseli,
    I na rodnuyu Zemlyu
    So storony vzglyanut'.

    Pripev.
    Davno nas ozhidayut
    Dalokiye planety,
    Kholodnyye planety,
    Bezmolvnyye polya.
    No ni odna planeta
Ne zhdot nas tak, kak eta,
    Planeta dorogaya,
    Po imeni Zemlya.

  3. It is fascinating to think of what Soviet Russia would have achieved if it was anything like these patriotic songs imagined it as. Probably could have done great things if the entire system hadn't failed.

  4. I don't understand the lyrics. The first verses don't seem to match up with the singing. It sounds like he says shetyrnadtis minut instead of chetyrnadtsat.

Vladimir died yesterday when there was a lunar eclipse.

    Space maps,

    And the navigator clarifies

    Last time route.

    Let's guys

    Sing before the start –

    We still have in stock

    Fourteen minutes.

    Chorus:

    I believe friends

    Missile caravans

    Will rush us forward

    From star to star.

    On dusty paths

    Distant planets

    Our tracks will remain.

    On dusty paths

    Distant planets

    Our tracks will remain.

    Sometime over the years

    Let us recall with friends

    How on the roads stellar

    We led the first way

    How first managed

    Reach the cherished goal

    And to the native land

From the side to take a look.

    Chorus.

We've been waiting for a long time

    Distant planets

    Cold Planets

    Silent fields.

    But no planet

Not waiting for us like this,

    Planet dear

    By the name of Earth.

  9. Tucked into our cases there are space maps and space charts
The navigator checking the numbers one last time.
So let us sing together, we still have fourteen minutes
Before we start the engines and leave the Earth behind.
    Zapravleny v planshety kosmicheskie karty,
I shturman utochnjaet v poslednij raz marshrut.
    Davajte-ka, rebjata, spojomte pered startom,
U nas eshchjo v zapase chetyrnadtsat’ minut.
My friends, I believe that the fast rocket fleet
Will carry us on from one star to the next.
On those distant planets our trails will remain
And keep dusty prints of our steps.
On those distant planets our trails will remain
And keep dusty prints of our steps.
    Ja verju, druz’ja, karavany raket
Pomchat nas vperjod ot zvezdy do zvezdy.
    Na pyl’nykh tropinkakh daljokikh planet
Ostanutsja nashi sledy. Na pyl’nykh tropinkakh daljokikh planet
    Ostanutsja nashi sledy!
One day, my friends together the past we will remember:
Through interstellar pathways we paved our own roads.
We were the first to go and reach that cherished goal —
To look at our planet from far above the Earth.
    Kogda-nibud’ s godami pripomnim my s druz’jami,
Kak po dorogam zvjozdnym veli my pervyj put’,
Kak pervymi sumeli dostich’ zavetnoj tseli

    ChorusPripev
They’ve long been waiting for us those big and distant planets,
Those cold and silent planets deep in the universe.
But there is no planet wherever we have landed,
That waits for us like this one our dear planet Earth.
    Davno nas ozhidajut daljokie planety,
    Kholodnye planety, bezmolvnye polja.
No ni odna planeta ne zhdjot nas tak, kak eta,
