The Secret Soviet Weapon that won WW2

The Secret Soviet Weapon that won WW2

The Soviet Union made a decisive contribution
to defeating nazi Germany and liberating Europe. However, few are aware of the secret soviet
weapon that helped the USSR win that war. But first a few words about the Soviet superheroes
that used it. Hero of the Soviet Union Dmitry Lavrinenko
was the most effective tank crewman not only in the Red Army but in all the Allied Forces.
The losses the enemy suffered with his hand were truly massive. Within only 2.5 months
he took part in 28 battles, destroyed 52 enemy tanks and his own tank burst in the flames
three times. He died at the age of 27 defending Moscow. Dmitry Lavrinenko was awarded the
Gold Star Medal and two Orders of Lenin. Hero of the Soviet Union Ludmila Pavlichenko’s
name stroke terror into the enemy. By the time she was 26, she’d killed over 300 nazi
soldiers including 36 snipers. During one of the battles her partner and fiancé junior
lieutenant Kitsenko died. She carried his body all by herself from the battlefield.
After being heavily wounded she was withdrawn from the front-line and in 1942 visited Canada
and the United States where she met with Roosevelt and urged the allies to open-up a second front
in Europe. Pavlichenko was awarded the Gold Star Medal and two Orders of Lenin Hero of the Soviet Union Ivan Kozhedub was
the most effective air fighter of the Allied Forces. He made 330 combat flights and took
part in 120 battles, over all he destroyed 62 enemy aircrafts. Although his own plane
was attacked several times, he always managed to land it safely. He was the first Soviet
pilot to destroy the German jet-fighter. Ivan Kozhedub was awarded three Gold Star Medals
and two Orders of Lenin. He was also given a rank of of Air Force Marshal. Hero of the Soviet Union Petr Schedrin was
the first in the world to pilot submarines from the Pacific to the Northern fleet territory
of operations. In 1942 he led six submarines through nine seas and three oceans. The submarines
were repeatedly attacked by the enemy, but still managed to cover over 30000 km on their
way to the Arctic ocean. Schedrin’s submarine took part in 8 combat missions, destroyed
10 enemy’s ships and damaged 4. The Nazis firstly announced on 17 different occasions
that his submarine sank, but he just kept on fighting and winning. Schedrin was awarded
the Gold Star Medal and Order of Lenin. He was also given a rank of Vice Admiral. Hero of the Soviet Union Vasily Petrov handled
antitank artillery in the most brutal battles. He destroyed three enemy’s infantry battalions
and 12 artillery and mortar batteries, he also knocked out 19 German tanks. Petrov was
severely wounded in his both hands during one of the battles, but he didn’t leave
the battle field until the enemy’s attack was repelled. He lost both his hands in the
fight, but insisted on going back to the front. Vasily Petrov was awarded two Gold Star Medals
and two Orders of Lenin. He was given a rank of Lieutenant General. This is just a small glimpse of the heroic
achievements of the soviet soldiers during the Great Patriotic War between Nazi Germany
and the Soviet Union. Each of these heroes had a secret weapon which was their unending
love for their country and their will power to defend it to the dieing breath. This feeling
united millions of soviet people, with each making his own contribution to defeating fascism
and to ending the most deadly war in human history.
