Warren unveils $52 trillion Medicare for All plan

INCLUDING A VISIT FROM THE NATS COMING UP ON MONDAY. HIS CAMPAIGN IS NOW OVER, AND FROM THE BEGINNING HE CAST HIMSELF AS A HIP AND COOL CANDIDATE HOPING TO RALLY YOUNGER VOTERS. WITH FEW DATA SHOWING THAT MILLENNIAL VOTERS FROM BETWEEN 81 AND 96 DO TILT DEMOCRATIC, IT’S EASY TO SEE WHY. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS HE WASN’T ALONE. MAYOR PETE BUDDHA JUDGE AND SOCIALIST BERNIE SANDERS ARE AMONG MANY ACTIVELY TARGETING YOUNGER PROGRESSIVES. POLITICAL ANALYSTS SUGGEST THAT PART OF THE REASON WHY 78 YEARS YOUNG BERNIE SANDERS LEADS THE PACK WITH 23% OF SUPPORT AMONG DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY VOTERS 18-34 IS THAT THOSE VOTERS ARE DRAWN TO HIS AUTHENTICITY. HE’S THEN BEEN PUSHING THE SAME SOCIALIST IDEAS FOR DECADES. PRESIDENT TRUMP TOUTING THE ECONOMY POINTING TO ANOTHER RECORD LOW OF UNEMPLOYMENT NUMBERS.>>President Trump: UNDER REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP, JOBS ARE BOOMING, CONFIDENCE IS SOARING, WAGES ARE RISING, CRIME IS FALLING IN OUR NATION IS STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE. [CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]>>SO HOW WILL DEMOCRATS LIKE SENATOR ELIZABETH WARREN WHO RULED OUT TRILLIONS IN NEW TAXES AS PART OF HER MEDICARE FOR ALL PLAN TODAY CAMPAIGN AGAINST THIS ECONOMY? LET’S DISCUSS WITH DEMOCRATIC STRATEGIST JASON NICHOLS AND FOUNDER AND PUBLISHER OF THE LEGAL INSURRECTION WEBSITE. THANKS FOR BEING WITH US. SENATOR WARREN SAYS THIS FOR HIS PLAN. MEDICARE FOR ALL PLAN GIVES EVERYONE GOOD INSURANCE AND CUTS HEALTH CARE COSTS TO NEARLY ZERO WITHOUT INCREASING MIDDLE-CLASS TAXES 1 PENNY. I ASK YOU BOTH, IS THAT POSSIBLE?>>THAT’S NOT POSSIBLE AND I THINK ALL THE ANALYSES THAT COME OUT TODAY IN “THE NEW YORK TIMES” SAY THAT HER PLAN INCLUDES VERY AGGRESSIVE ASSUMPTIONS ABOUT THE COMPONENTS, COST SAVINGS AND INCOME THAT WILL BE GENERATED OR TAXES THAT WILL BE GENERATED FROM HIGH TAXPAYERS AND NOBODY THINKS IT’S FREE AND A REALISTI REALISTIC. AND THAT’S THE CERTAINTY UNDER HER PLAN. AND OBAMA SAID YOU CAN KEEP THE PLAN IF YOU LIKE IT. THE HEART PLAN IS YOU CAN’T KEEP YOUR PLAN EVEN IF YOU LIKE IT. YOU KNOW YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE YOUR PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE AND YOU WILL GET A PROMISE FOR HER. A PROMISE WHICH EVEN LIBERAL LEANING ORGANIZATIONS LIKE “THE NEW YORK TIMES” HAVE ANALYZED AS PERHAPS BEING UNREALISTIC AND I THINK IT’S UNREALISTIC IN SO MANY WAYS THAT IT’S REALLY BETTING THE ENTIRE ECONOMY ON HER PROMISE.>>Shannon: WHAT DO YOU THINK? SHE MADE A VOW.>>IN MANY WAYS I AGREE WITH HIM. MIDDLE-CLASS TAXES ARE GOING TO GO UP BUT YOU WILL SAVE MONEY ON HEALTH CARE COSTS AND THE VAST MAJORITY OF AMERICANS ARE GOING TO SAVE MONEY. THE PROBLEM WITH ELIZABETH WARREN’S PLAN THAT I SAW WAS A PAYROLL TAX. NOW MIDDLE-CLASS PEOPLE ARE GOING TO PAY EITHER ON THE FRONT END OR THE BACK END AND WHAT YOU WILL SEE IS A TRUNCATED WORKFORCE. YOU ARE GOING TO SEE A LOT OF BUSINESSES WHEN THERE PAYROLL TAXES GO UP, THEIR WORKFORCE SHRINKS. AND AND THEY WILL PASS THE COST ON TO CONSUMERS. I THINK THAT THIS IS — I UNDERSTAND THAT SHE DIDN’T JUST WANT TO SAY THERE WOULD BE TAXES, BUT I THINK IT SHOULD COME OUT AS BERNIE SANDERS SAID.>>THERE ARE A NUMBER OF SO-CALLED ESTABLISHMENT DEMOCRATS, THEY DON’T THINK IT’S GOING TO WORK IN THE GENERAL ELECTION. POLITICO HAS A PIECE, AND THEY WORRY ABOUT THIS IN THE GENERAL SAYING. AND THE CANDIDATE MANY BELIEVE TO BE THE MOST LIKELY NOMINEE TO FACE DONALD TRUMP HAS BURDENED HERSELF WITH THE POLICY THAT IN THE BEST CASE IS IN THE FIRST CASE UNELECTABLE.>>I DON’T THINK THAT SHE IS UNELECTABLE AND I DON’T THINK THAT THIS IS GOING TO DO HER IN. I THINK MOST AMERICANS WANT UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE. NOW AGAIN, I THINK HOW THAT IS ACHIEVED, I DON’T THINK AMERICANS ARE REALLY CONCERNED ABOUT HOW WE ACHIEVE THAT. I THINK PEOPLE WANT UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE AND, I DON’T THINK THEY WANTED SOMEONE THAT IS TRULY DEVOTED TO MAKING SURE THAT THEY HAVE THE HEALTH CARE THEY NEED AND THEY ARE OVERBURDENED. AND SEE DOCTORS, THE SUPPORT FALLS AWAY VERY QUICKLY.>>AND I THINK THAT’S A PROBLEM WITH ELIZABETH WARREN. AND WHEN YOU TURN TO A HUNDRED 40 MILLION PEOPLE, YOU SAY WE ARE TAKING AWAY THE INSURANCE THAT YOU LIKE, THAT WE’VE DEPENDED ON. AND, WHAT’S THE GUARANTEE THAT IT’S GOING TO GET BETTER? THERE’S NO GUARANTEE. AND THEY WANT TO BE ABLE TO CONTROL THEIR OWN LIVES AND THAT IS WHAT IS MISSING BOTH FROM BERNIE’S PLAN AND ELIZABETH WARREN’S. THEY ARE TAKING AWAY THE INDIVIDUAL CHOICE THAT AMERICANS MAKE.>>Shannon: SOME OF THEM ARE

  2. Elizabeth Warren is going to take your money that you earned under the Trump Administration and she's going to steal it and use it for healthcare which by the way free healthcare would suck because you would never get in to see a doctor you would get months before you see a doctor I think it's the dumbest idea ever and she thinks everybody's going to pay for it while she sits back and gets Rich wrong she needs a Dropout just like the tool did

  3. This is why I love Fox. It's perfectly fine to waste tax payers money on wars, walls, golf vacations and rallies every week but how dare we spend money keeping the poor and middle class healthy?

  4. What is a trillion? Well a million seconds is 12 days, a billion seconds is 32 years a trillion seconds is 32,000 years
Here is an example of how the government tricks you
3 guys pitch in on a $30 room each ponies up $10, the manager tells the desk clerk the room was only $25 and gives the clerk $5 to give back to the three guys so the clerk thinks he cant split $5 three ways so he gives them each a dollar and keeps two.
Now each guy paid $9 right?
Here is where the trick is 3×9 is 27 plus the 2 the clerk kept makes 29 Where did the other dollar go

  7. Unsustainable. Just get tough on the medical Industrial complex and tell the corporates to go to hell. Have to have price reductions across the board in medical industrial complex. Tougher regulations on health insurance carriers. Lower the federal debt too will help.

  8. We can't ever have Universal Healthcare (Medicare for all) if we want to let in all the immigrants.
As long as we want to let in mass amounts of immigrants without controls, Medicare For All, is a BAD idea.

  9. Jason Nichols doesn't have a clue what he's talking about. Americans dont want "universal" healthcare, we want AFFORDABLE healthcare. Stop conflating the two. And stop acting like we're ignorant. We do care about things like "deficits and all that kind of stuff". We do care about how the government intends to achieve it's lofty promises and how that is all going to negatively impact our standard of living. I don't want the government in control of my healthcare, the government can't be trusted with that responsibility. Look how they handled Obama care. The more you earned the more you had to pay for the same exact level of care. That's not UNIVERSAL. Take your socialism back to Venezuela before we do it for you.

  12. We have state employee insurance, two adults in our late 40's. One employed with the State. Our cost for very good health insurance is $163/month, for two. How in the hell can she possibly say we are gonna be better off? Why in the hell would we want to drop our insurance? The Dems will not get our vote based solely on medical.

  15. This is up about 20 Trillion from what it was thought to cost last month. Even though there wasn’t enough money in the economy if we taxed everyone at 100% when it was 32 Trillion, she remains consistent in her plan: tax the rich. I hope she includes herself among “the rich.”

  21. lol I have yet to meet someone who actually cares what their health insurance company is as long as they get to see their doctors. You know what limits choice? When your insurance limits who you can see, what medications are covered, which hospital group in which states are in the system and what treatments are covered. You know why these issues exist? Because private companies want to make money off you being sick.

  22. Her plan is $20 trillion over a decade, and the urban institute are saying Americans will spend 52 trillion over the next decade on health care, they are saying she is wrong and its mostly likely going to cost 52 trillion than her proposed 20 trillion. But faux followers are so fking clueless about even the basics. The comments are laughable. And yes Americans on average spend $15k a year on med insurance and care which comes to 52 trillion in the decade. But let rich fox news keep you delusionals in the dark. Because they make 10 million+ a year and democrats will take a good chunk of that. 99.99% of commenters here wont ever see just 1 million in their account but worried about 10 mill+ getting taxed lol
